Hi, I’m rushing this year. I was wondering how picky/ looks based rush is? After looking at different posts on this website, i'm feeling insecure about rushing. And in terms of personality, what exactly are sororities looking for? (Eg- hobbies/ family background)?? Which sororities are the most accepting and non looks based?
Anything would be helpful. Thanks!!\n\n\n\n\n

honestly this website shows Greek life here at its most rude and superficial most of the time. every sorority looks for different things, but generally across the board they all value hobbies like sports/community involvement/volunteering. as long as you’re authentic and talkative with the girls in recruitment, you’ll end up in the right sorority for you.

High GPA, extracurriculars (dance, sports, leadership roles), dressing well and looking put together, being confident and able to hold a good conversation, and being genuine. Obviously looks matter but it’s more like - is your hair/nails/makeup done nicely, is your outfit cute etc
