Seems like the most wanted pnms are preffing kappa and gamma phi. What happened to dg?

^^ do you really just want to be in a popular pretty sorority? A lot of the girls going through aren't that shallow and are looking for more of a connection, I wouldn't say "everyone" wants to join a popular pretty sorority or everyone would want to join kappa lol

If "reputation" is what's on your mind when you're going through recruitment, then you're joining a sorority for the wrong reasons. Just because certain chapters are good at recruiting, that doesn't mean their sisterhood is strong. Kappa has had a girl bite another sister at their formal, they told new members last year that some of them only got bids for their GPA's and they wouldn't get featured on social media, and they're SO. CLIQUEY. So, while during recruitment a lot of younger pnm's are impressed by how "pretty" they are (and they only let certain girls in their chapter recruit, so you're not getting the full picture) that's all it is. A show. Chapters are putting on a show and at the end of the day what matters is how you feel when you're there and how you individually connect with each girl you talk to.

Every year of recruitment is different, but as someone who saw all the preference and invitationals list I can say the most common cross rushes were:
gphi/adpi
dg/kappa
aphi/theta
agd/aphi
Most girls that went to AOII only got invited back there and didn't cross rush elsewhere. There were actually a lot of girls that cross rushed dg/aphi (different from previous years), and quite a few that were gphi/kappa as well.

"Most wanted" pnm's is not a true statement. Each chapter wants different things.
For example, many Kappas have said that their chapter doesn't care about grades AT ALL, if they really like a girl her GPA could be in the 50's and she'd still get a bid. DG is also not picky about grades or sports. For both of those chapters, their main focus is looks and it shows - they consistently recruit pretty pnm's but the experience they offer to members during the year is subpar.
ADPi's and Thetas are really strict on academics and will cut girls for not having high in enough grades really quickly (above 70 GPA) because of their international standards, so they're really looking for well rounded girls.
GPhi looks for girls that are very "polished" and proper, they also take grades into account and are pretty well rounded but definitely really care about appearance - not looks necessarily, but definitely how put together they are.
APhi is not as strict on grades either (their minimum GPA requirement isn't as high as chapters like Theta) but they really look for genuine girls who are down to earth, outdoorsy, and will cut girls they feel aren't as real or have those qualities.
AGD's really want girls that are athletic and sporty, and also really care about the minimum GPA requirement, so many girls got cut from AGD for lacking this that did get invited back to Kappa.
AOII cuts girls for grades but not really anything else. They're the newest chapter and are very sweet though

There might be parts of this that are true but it's not universal. I've seen "polished, proper" girls get cut from GPhi, "well rounded" girls get cut from ADPi, and "pretty" girls cut from DG/Kappa. Believe it or not the girls actually want a genuine connection with their future sisters

Girls were CRYING this year because they got invited back to DG and Kappa but not Gamma Phi for preference. Clearly you have a pretty outdated idea of "top tier" because so many girls wanted GPhi over DG, if you were in the rooms you have no idea

this is pretty accurate tho... hella girls that preffed agd/dg, however many many girls were looking for gphi/agd this year. probably because the rep of chapters like dg/kappa is being realized by a lot of girls as not a rep they wanna have? a lot of PNMs had different reasons for not wanting those chapters, but it seemed in the end adpi just swiped everybody lol

Honestly, this is so true. It's all based around reputation. As a PNM going through recruitment right now the reputations and sterotypes of each sorority definitely resides in your mind when making a decision which sucks. Regardless of each girls connection, we all want to be in the "most popular, pretty, desired"
