fall rush

I am transferring to UAB in the fall and I want to rush but I had a 2.2 got my freshmen year.i am also a legacy to one of the chapters. Does UAB Greek take legacy status seriously?

Of course they do.
But frankly, your GPA is a problem. Every sorority has a minimum for pledging, and it's usually 2.5. They couldn't take you even if they liked you and wanted you.
But hey...it could happen. What's the worst that could happen?

2.2 is a potential problem but your legacy status could easily let them give you a shot with good faith. A lot of girls grades improve once in the chapter due to their scholarship programs.

UAB is a unique place. It's less important for you to be a lower classman going through recruitment. Take the time to focus on your grades and get them up. Then go through recruitment. Sorority life is great, but you've got to have your grades to get in.
