Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority at University of Alabama Birmingham - UAB 3.4 I rushed last year and was so drawn to AOII but ultimately found a better chapter for me. So here is the tea w AOII. They were kinda new at UAB and og had a reputation of modest religious bible beating girls but boy did that change. Over the years they’ve really polished up their social media look and have stepped up their recruitment game but as much as ppl give agd crap for their lack of diversity I honestly think aoii is worse. Their vibe for the past couple years was taking all the rich, catholic, Italian, privileged girls from the bham area. If u can think of a typical John Caroll girl, that’s what AOII was for a little bit. Like they actually do not gaf to recruit anyone that looks different at all. And granted that UABs rush population isn’t very diverse and u can’t place all the blame on the chapters, AOII genuinely will turn a blind eye to changing their look up. The girls are either rlly nice or rlly mean I don’t see an in between. They’re big theta chi groupies so prepare for that.

The people who post negative views on any chapters page are most likely either cowards with nothing to do with their lives or bitter about that chapter for some reason that’s their own fault. I truly hope you all go into recruitment with an open heart, mind, and give every girl you talk to in every chapter an opportunity to connect with you so you can find your sisterhood. If you actually believe anything on this website then you do not belong in a sorority, as I guarantee you NONE of the women in greek life at UAB would want you if they found out you were judgey towards another chapter before even meeting them.

However, in every chapter there are girls that don’t have those attributes. These girls give AOPi a bad look. As a whole, good chapter. FYI they tend to fine a lot, so be aware.
