self ranking like crazy trying to cover up how bad they are. i’m rushing and i have had two already try and communicate with me and they made me super uncomfortable. i have heard that they are the joke of greek life. stay away

seem good on the outside but they are disorganized and rude in reality. everyone i talk to is embarrassed to be there. some people act enthusiastic about being in the sorority but they are really miserable and wish to be in a different on. especially pc 20. don’t know how they will do with rush but i know that like 10 people have dropped just over the summer because of poor leadership

Every sorority girl I know, including me, likes Fiji. They are great guys and are so fun to have mixers with. I have never felt unsafe with a Fiji! They are really genuine! Most fraternities don’t like them. That’s because they have a reputation to be a little fruity and most sorority girls like them. They don’t really feel like a frat, which can be a good thing. Just depends on what you are looking for. SK is like weirdly obsessed with them! (I’m not in SK)

ATO is a great fraternity! They are fun to have mixers and tailgates with. They always take photos and video at mixers so the sororities can have them. They can sometimes be a little awkward, but I have always felt safe at their house. My friends in other sororities also really like them.

They don’t have the best reputation. Girls are always told to cover their drinks when they go to an Pi Kap party. Pi Kap is in LOVE with AGD. Apparently they constantly cancel mixers with other sororities if they aren’t AGD. Pi Kap definitely has one of the best tailgate but their brothers can be stuck up and rude.

Theta Chi is one of the best fraternities on campus. Most of their brothers are very nice, genuine, smart, and outgoing. They have a few brothers that give them a bad reputation, but I love tailgating and having mixers with Theta Chi.

KD is the newest chapter at UAB, so it has really changed over the past few years. When I went through recruitment, they were only looking for blondes. But this has changed they are now full of more alternative chill girls. They still try really hard to be the cool girls. This doesn’t always look good. To try to rise up, they put other sororities down especially AGD. Those two sororities are always beefing. I think KD has some really genuinely nice people, but the poor behavior of some of their members really makes KD look bad.

SK has THE sweetest girls on campus! They tend to just do their own thing. Sadly, lots of other chapters (AGD, KD, and AOII) tends to be rude or talk badly about them behind their backs. If you want a great sisterhood full of great memories go SK. If you are looking to be popular, super involved, and hangout with lots of fraternities this might not be the sorority for you. Regardless I have never met an SK I didn’t like.

Alpha Xi has become very split the past few years. Half of the sisters are studious, sweet, and are great to talk to. The other half tries to be cool party girls. The newer member class is starting to push Alpha Xi in that direction. Look at their old Instagram posts vs new ones as an example. Regardless, there are still lots of genuine girls still in the chapter.
