Like all sororities, GPhi is a group of young women who have different personalities. I think these reviews usually read by incoming students who are trying to get a feel for which house might be a good fit or who are wanting to get into a certain “tier” - important note: overall, greekrank is not at all a trustworthy source of information because some reviews are purposefully trying to knock down certain organizations, so be on the lookout for overly negative ones. Overly positive reviews are either trying to balance the sometimes fake negative reviews or they could be self rankings to increase a sorority’s score. Take it all with a big grain of salt. Also, sorority houses can change from year to year depending on the mix of people, so you really do have to experience each house for yourself and trust your instincts. IMHO GPhi is the rare house where there is literally a place for almost anyone as long as they’re accepting of differences and have values that align with GPhi’s: love, labor, learning, loyalty. You don’t have to fit some image. It’s not a stereotypical sorority. All the sororities have amazing women in the and there are pros and cons for each, and it really depends on what feels like home to you. Pay attention during recruitment. What feels authentic for you? GPhi is an awesome house! And for you maybe it would be a great fit! Go through recruitment and learn for yourself. Good luck finding your home at Purdue!

Do you want a place where you're supported for being you and not judged? Do you want a place where you can choose to study or party and both are totally okay? There are a lot of great sororities who will welcome diverse girls and accept who you really are, GPhi is one of them! Keep an eye out during recruitment for what feels like a match for the real you so that you'll be comfortable in your pajamas at the house without makeup on!

i was new to sororities and had a very stereotypical view of sorority girls. there are some sororities who still seem like that and maybe have some superficial attitudes, but most are more dynamic and complex. GPhi is one that has more substance and is filled with lots of different types of girls. It's one of the oldest sororities and it is international. Super impressive organization with good people and good vibes.

Ignore the rumors and gossip, including bad rankings on this site (they're fake btw). I'll let you in on a little secret... Every sorority has a similar experience: 1. they all have sisters who hang out with fraternities and go to parties and sisters who don’t; 2. they all have philanthropy events; 3. they all have sisterhood events. If you want to find your dream sorority, you have to keep an open mind, and leave the junior high/high school hierarchy mentality where it belongs. You never know which sorority you will really connect with! You do NOT want to go into recruitment with only wanting to join one sorority or one "type" of sorority. When you have one sorority on your mind, you are comparing every other sorority to it. Most likely, you start to write off the other sororities and limit your options. You will hear gossip and read bad reviews. If you believe these things, you are basically writing a burn book for recruitment. You will start to sabotage the experience.You will be nitpicking and convincing yourself it is not going to work. You will definitely not be making connections and you will be wasting your time because you are limiting your chances. When you give in to the gossip, you are limiting all of your chances.This mindset of being too good or not good enough is a junior high/high school hierarchy mindset. Guess what... college is different. College is your chance to grow into the person you want to be. You need to find a sorority that supports you. You want to make lasting friendships with your sisters.

Hi girls, if you are going through recruitment soon and are looking on this website, maybe you should rethink why you are rushing. All of the sororities at Purdue are filled with such incredible women, and they shouldn’t be judged on hateful online reviews that are usually made up. All of the Panhellenic houses are amazing, and I know all of you can find a house you belong in when you get to meet all of these wonderful women. Trust the process and find the right fit - where YOU will be comfortable.

All these ranks on here are self ranks. It’s obvious. Gphi is NOT drama free. In fact they have so much petty drama it’s unreal. Girls in this house are backstabbers. They will go out of their way to find one bad thing about you, make it a big deal, and spread rumors. Also control your selves at bars ladies. It’s not cute to be blacklisted from Harry’s :)

Really weird vibe from these girls. I feel like they keep to themselves and are not really that involved

yes, self rankings exist. take any extremes with a grain of salt. Gphi is a diverse house of genuine nice girls who are smart, pretty, fun, and driven. Most sororities have a mix of personalities. Look at the organization and its values to see if it's a good fit. Ignore gossip and rankings and see for yourself - keep an open mind to find a good fit.

These young women are pretty chill. Some are there to have a good time, some for academics, and others a mix. Not typical sorority girls. They are down-to-earth and fun to be around.
