Also, what is the best way to make yourself stand out during rush, so that you can get a bid to a top tier sorority?

You either need to be stunningly more beautiful than all the other girls, or you need to have connections

In a top tier sorority, but only because I ended up really loving the girls through rush--not because it's a top tier sorority. I promise you, after bid day, the rankings do NOT matter. You want to be a in a place where you like the girls and the girls like you.
