Phi Mu - ΦΜ Sorority Ratings at UNC

Hi!! I scroll through here occasionally bc I almost went phi mu a year ago! The road took me otherwise but I still like to see what people are saying and I saw someone wrote that they lived w someone in phi mu who hated it, and while I’m sorry that was their experience, it’s not what I gathered at all. Last semester I lived with 3 girls in the new phi mu PC and they all seemed to love it and really find themselves within the sorority!! They loved their sisters and with ANY organization THAT large, there’s bound to be a few people who don’t get along, but for 99% of the time they do! A good sorority!!

Great sisterhood that has been a staple in sorority life at UNC a long time. Great house, great alumni and extremely fun and involved sisters. One of the best IMO at UNC if your looking to have a great time, be on the social scene and make friends who really care about you.

mixed bag of girls. either really nice or really mean. a lot are fake it seems. middle tier, nothing special.

I’m not very much into Greek life, just because I feel like there is a lot of negativity surrounding it. However, I really think Phi Mu does a good job of shining a light on all of the good things that can come from Greek Life. A couple of my good friends are in Phi Mu and love it. Everyone they’ve introduced me to in their sorority has been super nice and welcoming. They are also one of the most diverse chapters in Panhellenic, but I definitely hope they keep working on diversity, because there’s still a long ways to go. Nonetheless, it’s not nearly as stereotypical and white as most of the other sororities. I always see them around campus too now, so I would definitely say they are involved. I really love these girls and think they set a good example for all the other sororities.

Honestly a really good sorority. I went there a couple of times for lunch last year and everyone was chill and they all seem to like each other. I see a lot of Phi Mu's on campus, and I know that they are pretty involved. Good social life, but not really party animals. Definitely more liked than the top tiers, since they are actually nice and have a good sisterhood. I would say they are top mid-tier, up there with A Chi O and Zeta.

in my experience the phi mu girls are very outgoing and enjoy their sorority. they are involved in campus life and party pretty hard

These girls are ehh, nothing stands out.

If you want a party sorority don’t pick this one ( they party .. just not all the time only at special events/socials). If you want a sorority with great sisterhood and bonding pick this one

Very cool, chill girls! This is not a cookie cutter sisterhood, you can be your true self here. One of the earliest Greek associations at Chapel Hill to embrace diversity and inclusion!
