scared to go to pre-recruitment events alone

so i'm going through recruitment this fall and it's recommended that pnms attend the pre-recruitment events. i'm planning on going to them but i'm so scared because i don't know anyone and i'm going to have to walk in alone! y'all got any advice??

I remember this feeling! Honestly... I went alone to a lot of my year’s events, and if you don’t sit in a corner and make yourself closed off, a lot of people will come up to you and talk! Some will be fellow PNMs, some will be sorority women, and some will be your pi chis! You can also approach people, maybe compliment their outfit or ask about their sorority. And as always, Pi Chis, the girls that help you through recruitment would LOVE to talk to you.

It’s totally normal to go alone. The point of these events is to meet new people!
