Don't know if Theta will be doing underground. Only rumours so far.

Underground basically means you're running as a frat/sorority, but are not affiliated with the school or nationals in any way.

- No On Campus House
- No Homecoming pairing
- No BLVD
- No Intramural Sports (If everyone on your team is from a house that was recently kicked off, your team will not be allowed to participate)

Pretty much every house has gone underground after they've gotten kicked off in some capacity, whether it be a few core members throwing together a couple events, or the whole chapter putting together a full year of events with an actual budget. Regardless of size, none of these have lasted long and at a school as small as SMU, underground houses fizzle out once the majority of the original members graduate.

Could be different though since this is a sorority rather than a fraternity.

They will lose 2 pledge classes. This means they're done.

They will not lose 2 pledge classes if they are underground. If Theta comes back, none of the underground members will be official Thetas and the new Theta will likely be separate from the current one. UG Theta would probably call themselves something else too.

This is what happens with fraternities. They would put together social events like they would when they were official. But applying this scenario to a sorority is ridiculous. The remaining Thetas have no need to put together and pay for social events, they will just go to fraternity parties like usual. These underground rumors are just frat boys projecting.
