cob 2020 .......

by: Wannaknow

As some girls don’t run home to the houses that invited them there are always a few houses that have Continuous Open Bidding. So are any houses having COB right now for girls that didn’t get a bid after rush?

Even if a house was doing COB, your only going to know it if your the girl they’re accepting except for Gphi who tends to openly COB between 10-20 girls each semester.

Newly Shocked GDIs,

"COB" means Sororities 7 & 8

As you get in-line for the Panhellenic Desk after being cut by your top prefs, be prepared for the following Panhellenic comments:

"open-minded" means Sororities 7 & 8
"COB" means Sororities 7 & 8
"Fall Recruitment" means Sororities 7 & 8
"stupid rankings" means Sororities 7 & 8
"second-round recruitment sophomore" means Sorority 8

Recruitment was an UNNECESSARY EVIL Elimination Process.

Don't you ever get tired of writing this same lie on every post? Did it ever occur to you how hateful you sound being so dismissive of two houses full of our friends? Please take your sour grapes elsewhere

Everything ole' Salty warned PNMs about came true.
She remains on point with her COB disclosures.

GDIs needed to pay attention to her.
Panhellenic's jabs at her acknowledges her truthful comments about them.

We should have paid more attention to her.
PMNs & GDIs real advocate.

Same EVIL panHELLenic recruitment process as in years past.
panHELLenic never discloses those srats that are in COB.
They make the Newly Shocked GDIs wait for a text from them.
This wait time conveniently passes the university's 50% tuition & housing refund deadline.

A Bait & Switch entrapment timeline conspiracy between the university & panHELLenic.

Newly Shocked GDIs, you are in phase 3.

3. Bargaining - COB, wait it is just for srats 7 & 8.

As in years & decades past GDI post:

Most of the newly GDIs were encouraged to proceed with COB to find a possible opening. Only sorority 7 & 8 were involved in COB this week. These were the sororities most were Not Interested In. Once realized of the GDI reality, it was Wednesday, far too late to transfer to another university or to ask your parents the short notice to make the dangerous wintery drive to Dallas.

It was pointed out that a vast majority of the top 6 sorority PCs were pre-determined. Only a few true openings were actually available to the non-connected. Fall Sophomore rush is very similar to COB. Only sorority 7 & 8 usually take pledges. Those Sophomores that go through recruitment a second time in the Spring are usually cut early and are given bids from sorority 7 & 8 again. Sorority 7 may/will probably cut you as a sophomore.

Pretty depressing. Tonight, my roommate and many of the newly pledged girls are out at sorority parties. The 10 -12 newly GDIs on our floor are studying or watching the Shopping Network.

We did nothing to deserve this social isolation. Just obeyed the recruitment rules and trusted the top 6 sororities with their verbal bid encouragement. We are stuck here as social outcasts by design of the University and Panhellenic.
