what is smu life really like?

Besides partying on Friday and Saturday nights what do people do? Do you shop in Dallas? Are there certain festivals that everyone goes to? Do you visit other cities during the weekends? What would be the typical day to day life?

There are football games in the fall and people actually go to class and study here, are involved in campus organizations, go work out, have chapter meetings once a week. It's a school.
