Let’s go through the numbers of my rush this semester…
There are 38 social fraternities
I deleted 10 off the bat because they were too small
I rushed 28 fraternities
I backroomed at only 14 of them, including only 1 of my favorite 4 pre rush
I only ended up getting texts back from 6 of the 14 places that second roomed me
Out of those 6, I realized I didn’t like 3
From 28 to 3 (Matt Ryan lmao) and two of the three haven’t even texted me since MoWed
I’m not gonna get a bid and I went to 28 HOUSES during some day

There's usually 1000+ kids rushing, 25 frats probably take pc's of about 20 on average. That's 500 pledges, in other words a lot of kids rushing are not going to join a frat, especially in the spring. Wouldn't worry about it too much and would probably try to do either rolling recruitment and if that doesn't work out rush again in the fall.

Nope. If a frat is doing rolling recruitment events, they’re interested in getting kids from rolling. No reason for you to feel like you look desperate, especially if you’re a freshman.

I know as a freshman it’s so important to join a frat and yeah I get it but no matter what remember something 80 percent of students at penn state aren’t in a soroity or frat. Unlike other university’s where they dictate social life at state it don’t matter most people don’t care after freshman year
