This just is not how it works.
Top = tiers 1/2
Upper mid = 3/4
Mid = 5 (literally by definition)
Lower mid =6
Bottom= 7-10

No! As you go down the ranks, there are noticeable differences with each number! Groups of numbers are the same alike.
