by: PsuHow does informal rush work for sororities? I was unable to rush this spring due to credit requirements and I want to rush this fall. Do all the sororities post if they’re doing informal and anyone can go or is it by invite only?

If it is posted, they are welcoming anyone to go. If a chapter wants it to be invite only, you won't hear about it. Check the chapter's social media and Panhellenic's site to look for information about upcoming events. If there is a specific chapter that you know members in, ask them about it. Everyone likes to talk about their chapter so don't worry that is too forward or aggressive. Just ask friends or girls wearing letters in class if they are doing anything informally. Good luck!

Most sororities do informal recruitment but they try to just get girls that sisters know so definitely go up to girls if you see them in letters. Most girls are friendly when it comes to talking about their sorority and if they think you fit their “brand” they will get your info for later
