genuinely curious
by: HiSo I’m curious how you all decide on the rankings. Because there is absolutely no person that could have any idea what is going on in every single chapter at PSU. So how do you decide?? Is it just the middle tiers all flipping each other around on “who is better”? I genuinely would like to know. Thoughts?

The name of the game is trying to belittle others to make your own chapter look better. Desperate social climbing to validate one's own worth and cover up insecurities. It is obvious which chapters are constantly doing it. It is an awful bitter existance that could be eliminated if IFC and Panhel would establish assigned pairings. All Greeks would actually get to know one another and realize that all chapters are actually the same. The tiers would lose their power and the Greek system would be stronger. Unfortunately, no one is bold enough to initiate!

You say that the "better" frats get the "better" sororities. What makes a sorority better? Because other frats are interested in them? Because this website says one is better than another? It is a viscous cycle. Other schools assign pairs randomly which breaks up the stigma that we see here. If all chapters had socials with everyone else, this crap would stop. There are lots of great girls and guys in all chapters that would all be better off giving each other a chance. There would be less manufactured battles between chapters fighting for better rankings.

Let’s be honest there is a difference in people between the tiers. That doesn’t mean a lower tier is bad it just means they have different personalities than other tiers
