The Monmouth Duo The women's fraternity Pi Beta Phi was founded as I.C. Sorosis at Monmouth College in 1867. Kappa Kappa Gamma was founded at the college in 1870, and in 1888 I.C. Sorosis adopted Greek letters and changed its named to Pi Beta Phi. Because both fraternities have their origins at the same college within three years of one another, they are often called "The Monmouth Duo". On campuses with Pi Beta Phi and Kappa Kappa Gamma chapters, the groups often hold joint social and philanthropic events.

"You can't compare them to Pi Phi or Alpha Phi" Kappa doesn't want to be like them. Kappa does Kappa. So stop the negativity.

Richer than Alpha JOKE

Like they JUST got a financial aid program because their dues are so high. LITERALLY only rich girls can AFFORD to join APhi. SO ridiculous. Associate with the rich-boy frat too... and all their dues in the past went to unnecessary house renovations, not even to anything impactful on campus. Selfish sorority with poor sisterhood and very cliquey.

It's true that some of the older girls in APhi give the sorority its rich-girl image and it's not everyone but as the years have gone on and they've become more selective they've started picking girls based on wealth like Theta does. Soooooo...
