delta gamma
by: CuriousI heard that Delta Gamma (DG) was going to become a sorority here starting this year.. Is that true? I haven't heard anything else about it since last spring

Cuz Elon HATES Greek life they're doing so much to minimize it so the last thing Elon would do right now would be getting another sorority and the numbers are even there's 9 frats and 9 sororities

they want it to be less than 50% of the student body to be greek and right now its at 52%. that would increase it, not decrease it

^That's so weird that they want greek life to be below 50%. Honestly a big greek life attracts a lot of people. And the school should think about all the positives of greek life and advertise that instead of thinking about the negatives!

The more popular, bigger, southern schools have a well known/large greek community.. expanding greek life at Elon would put their names up their with them, especially since it's being recognized more recently for other things.

Until Elon comes up with other social aspects that can rival greek life, they are kind of stuck with it's rapid growth. Instead of adding a new sorority/fraternity, the chapters could be faced with larger and larger pledge classes, if Elon's Greek life vision doesn't pan out!

Do you think they would let another frat on campus too to even out the organization numbers or does that not matter as much since there's more girls than guys in the student body?
