sorority recommendation letters

Hi!
I’m going to Stanford next year. So excited! My mom’s friends keep offering me letters of recommendation for the houses there. It’s so nice of them to offer— but I saw on the website recs are not required at Stanford. My question is: even if not required or expected, would letters be read by the chapters and would they be helpful? Eg for the more traditional houses? Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about it. In my house it doesn't make much difference. That said, if the women want to write a rec and send it in, you shouldn't stop them. It really is their business, not yours. I don't recommend soliciting recs.
