rushing as a junior (sorority)

by: New Girl

I am considering transferring from my JC to SJSU in the fall. I have always wanted to join a sorority but I have heard that my chances of joining one, are much slimmer because I am junior. Is this true for SJSU? Would top houses consider taking juniors?

truth is that it is harder to join a sorority when you are an older student. However , if you have decent grades and do well on house tours, i am more than confident that you will get a bid from a house. I've seen seniors get a bid before.

If you want to join a sorority go through recruitment! Upperclassmen do get bids!

Go through Rush. I went through and I was 21 and I didn't get dropped by any sororities. I didn't join a "top house" but that was my choice. Welcome to SJSU! Welcome to Panhellenic.

If you are attractive you will do fine.
