4 fraternities?

Are half of the social fraternities really on probation? I want to rush in the spring but I don't know now

Yeah most of the social fraternities are in some form of trouble right now. I think it's Pi Kappa Phi, Kappa Sigma, Phi Kappa Tau, and one other that aren't

-Sigma Chi and Delta Chi are off campus for now
-Pike and Phi Kappa Tau are on probation for the rest of the semester
-Kappa Sigma, SigEp, SAE and PiKapp have stayed out of trouble or they're doing a good job of hiding stuff

I would just wait until the real fraternities are back on campus if I were you.

Try going to the rush events in the Spring and see if you like any of them. You don't have to join this semester. Not all the fraternities are bad just got to find the one that fits you best.

And by real fraternities you mean the ones who were so bad they got kicked off campus...???
If I were you I would rush asap so you can get the most out of your experience and join a chapter that doesn't have a bad reputation like the ones that got kicked off have.
