Alternatives to Greek Life

there are many clubs on campus besides greek life to join....

And the reality is that there are no alternatives. Some people will make many good friends without greek life. Most don't. I know a lot of people who did not feel like they had a place on campus until they joined and were miserable at washu because of it. The upperclassmen that rushed and then deactivated have the majority of their friends because of greek life but they want to deprive you of those same opportunities. They have to present a viable alternative instead of just relying on old clubs that have never worked for most people.

Not to mention several clubs at WashU are just as/more selective than Greek orgs when picking new members and even boast about their low acceptance rates. I’d be all for a real alternative but at the moment they don’t exist
