There are always people from out of state and a lot of guys actually do formal. 100% rush

Definitely rush no matter what, and get to WSU early. I know my house has signed guys just the day before formal rush starts because the out of state kid came and met before. Also don't be turned off by top houses don't sign formals. Yeah they don't sign many, but if they like you and see a place for you, then you will get a bid probably.

Also a rush tip, talk to the people who matter during formal recruitment. The majority of people there are summer signs or members who don't want to be there. If you're not talking to someone that counts in the house then you myswell not even be talking other than passing time.

Above poster is right you want to talk to the recruitment chairs mainly then the president/VP/Exec members and try to talk to most of the kids that are summer signs as well because some houses have the summer signs choose the rest of their PC

And yes what are considered "top houses" will rarely sign more than 2 or 3 kids through formal they gotta really have to like you cause they are just trying to fill in the holes of the PC they recruited that summer
