So why were Betas a top house before they got shut down? All I hear is, they never really threw parties and that a lot of the guys were pompous. What gives?

Wasn't a huge fan of this house for the longest time for the exact reasons listed.

But, I learned it's just hard to get to know them unless you were friends in HS or have mutual friends. Not sure why, but that's just how their house seems to work

Once I actually got to know them my perspective changed 100% and I actually had fun at their parties... They're a million times nicer and more welcoming than I expected

oh. and they're considered a top house because they're (generally) known to be athletic, attractive and well off

+ near the top for grades, strong alumni, exclusive
