1.) What is meant by the A and B team at Kappa Alpha Theta? Is it really that obvious from outside perspectives, can someone elaborate more on this?
2.) Do sorority recommendations from alumni (NOT legacies) actually improve the likelihood that you'll get into that sorority?

A/B teams are for sure real when it comes to sorority rush, some on 17th have been known for keeping a group of girls in the basement and one on the main floor to meet girls during rush week. But, recommendations do help a lot when it comes to rush because girls are looking for solid, well-rounded girls but also ones who are good at making friends, so your network is always crucial.

recs are not worth pursuing unless you're getting one from a powerful alumnae who will pressure the chapter to give you a bid
