Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority at University of South Florida Tampa - USF 1.4 Pnms don’t believe the lies they’ll try to sell you about having a strong sisterhood and genuinely liking each other. They’re insecure bullies who make their own drama within the chapter everyone else’s problem, poison sisters against each other, and ice you out for not joining their hate campaigns. Their recruitment and retention numbers are terrible, dues are ridiculously expensive with nothing to show for it compared to other chapters, and they cannot give you the fun sorority experience and sisterhood you’re probably looking for. They seem to pride themselves on being the “different” sorority but all it does is further isolate them from Panhellenic and the rest of Greek, which in turn makes them miserable and makes them make each other miserable. Trust me, you would be happier anywhere else.

Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority at University of South Florida Tampa - USF 2.2 Listen, I joined this sorority because I thought I might get a chance to just have fun and meet some people. I'm a queer person who is NOT naturally inclined towards Greek life at all. So, I thought this might be a small place I could feel safe and try something new. While, compared to other sororities, AOII seems nice, it's really not that much different from the others. Just because they're less popular and more "accepting" does not make them immune to the broken system that is Panhellenic. With how unpopular they are, they're desperate to get new members. So, they're more likely to scam you out of your money, only because Panhellenic is constantly trying to scam their chapters too. Not to mention, they all hate each other and are constantly stirring drama that made me feel like I was back in high school. With all the pressure to appear as "perfect" as some of the other sororities seem (which I've heard are far worse but don't have experience with), they take it out on each other. Maybe it's different at other schools, I don't know, but at USF it's so evident that Greek life is broken to it's very core. It's just one long chain of abuse and power trips after another. For the love of god, don't go through recruitment. Save your money and health. Go join a club or talk to people in class or visit a boba shop. I guarantee you that you will make friends much more easily there. Then, you won't have wasted as much of your life like I did.

Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority at University of South Florida Tampa - USF 4.0 They are sadly a bottom tier sorority, but absolutely the best one. AOII is the most inclusive and accepting sorority on campus by far. If you are queer, this is where you want to be. They will love and accept you, and they are all so amazing.

Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority at University of South Florida Tampa - USF 1.9 This sorority has its social groups. It’s like being in high school again. If you do not live in the house you practically won’t be invited to anything that isn’t a mandatory event. I saw a lot of “families” fall through.
