Are resumes considered?

Are resumes or GPAs really considered during sorority recruitment? or only from the standpoint of making sure the PNM has the minimum GPA? All other things being equal, does a higher GPA or more involvement mentioned on your resume help you? or is it just a personality type thing?

Honestly the only time GPA comes into play is if you’re near the low cutoff. Other than that, some houses may match their members to PNMs with similar interests to try and help conversation flow but that’s really it.

It is mostly a personality type thing. Sororities are social organizations, not honor societies. How do you choose the people you prefer to hang out with? You gravitate toward people you connect with, who you are comfortable to be around, who make you laugh, and who you admire. Your people.
