How bad are cuts going into next week?

Shut up. Yea the cuts will be harsh but if you’re that worried, clearly you’re not keeping an open mind. Literally there is a place for everyone if you keep an open mind. Usually about 300-400 girls drop out of rush because they get cut from places they want to be. You may or may not be one of them depending on how you approach the next steps.

It is the first time many girls have ever not got exactly what they are after. They are not the star player this time, the one always chosen first for the team, no longer the MVP, and now there are others ahead of them on the imagined all-star team. So they will refuse to continue playing and take their ball and go home. It's too bad because they could have an amazing experience on another team but their emotions and pride will get the better of them and cut them out of greeklife forever.

What are harsh cuts? Do you mean that houses that you love are going to end up not inviting you back? Yes, that is going to happen. Is that harsh? If you understand the truth, that it is just a numbers game and that each house can only invite back a certain number, and that it doesn't mean they didn't like you, it doesn't mean that the women you connected with didn't also feel a connection with you, and that just because you didn't make the algorithm's required cut-off it doesn't mean you have been judged to be unworthy or less than or inadequate, then NO the cuts are not harsh, they are just based on numbers. There are members that get just as upset as the pnm's when their very favorite girls don't return; they are baffled, disappointed, sad, and angry at their chapter. Focus instead that houses WANT you and that there are great women in that house. You don't know what you don't know so give those houses a chance.

Sometimes the “harsher cuts” are early. Better to focus on the houses that are interested in you and get to know them.

Exactly this. Don’t get fixated on one house Sometimes what you think is the worse thing that could happen to you might the best

Yep usually they start with about 1000 and about 600-700 get bids, the vast majority of the rest drop out.
