Rush As a Transfer Junior
by: Feed TransferHey! So I’m transferring to UVA fall of 2022 and will be a junior by then but will take a 5th year to graduate. The school I’m at currently, being a junior and rushing in the fall isn’t common but is done at pretty much every fraternity wether it’s “top tier” or not. I was wondering if that’s the case for fraternities too at UVA because I’m currently in one but I want to explore my options and see where I fit in at UVA during rush rather than join the same fraternity because I might like another place more. Thanks!

Rush as a third year definitely isn’t common but also not unheard of. If you’re a transfer people will understand and you’ll have no problem. Only stigma of third years are if they’ve been here the entire time and didn’t/couldn’t get into a fraternity. Even then it’s still just a small stigma but you’re 100% in the clear
