I hear from older girls that all this stress is for nothing...we will all end up in the right place where we belong assuming we are not greedy and status-conscious. Be honest with yourself and go where you can be you and be totally happy. Forget about the facade and mask you wear...rush, whether formal or informal, is the time to really find truth and your people!

They don't really have any power. They practice stenciling and clean up the office and make brownies for Hal.

Most chapters have no idea if they are doing informal or not yet. There will be women who drop their chapters over the summer. You can predict that the newly housed chapters may have drops because of the rent/dues increases involved. Finally there will be sister who transfer in over the summer and affiliate. I'm sorry but you'll have to be patient while people already in the system make their decisions.

Houses will gather their relevant membership numbers when school begins in Fall 2017, and work their plan for any/no informal recruitment at that time. Please respect that no one knows their numbers until school resumes in Fall. Any announcements will be made in Fall. Check back with their individual chapter FB pages at that time. Thank you.

So what you're saying is to accept being in a bottom tier even if it doesn't feel like home. Forget it. I'm not going to settle for a house that feels awkward to me. Bottom tiers need to give it a rest. They act like they are desperate for warm bodies. Please stop this lecturing.
