^lol definitely not PBP. sororitys that do informal are ones that couldn't fill a pledge class/didn't get enough accepted bids. If you could find ones that had to do snap bids/have extra spots in their pcs then they may do it.

The only guarantees are SSS and SDT. Maybe GPB. Doubt ADPi or AXO.
Really depends on how many girls deactivate for study abroad, the national organizations don't like to miss out on dues $$$ so if they can keep their numbers up they will.

No one knows until fall, a lot can happen between now and then. The bottom 3 almost always do informal, all of the others it really depends on deactivations/transfers/etc. Nationals like to keep the rosters as full as possible so they make sororitys do it even though it's a pain. Not having to do informal is definitely a benefit of being in a top sorority.

I know sometimes DZ does informal in the fall because they know they'll be able to get girls that don't want to go gama phi/trisig/sigdelt

Yeah don't count on pi phi doing fall rush there are lots of sororities that have girls drop (especially fourth years) and don't do fall rush. Tons of girls drop aphi and DG later on and they still don't do informal

It is WAY too early to tell. NO ONE knows who is going to do informal. I think SSS and SDT are still doing COB. Everyone needs to relax and just wait and see.

I have no idea where that person got those numbers from but I guarantee you max 5 sororities will do informal. Like you think SDT only needs 3 more girls than APhi? Lol

My friend in SDT said they got less than half a pledge class.... and I'm sure APhi met quota/was close to it. The numbers above are all BS

Those numbers are correct but they are not based on recruitment quota. They are based on a quota that has been determined by each sorority's national office. So every sorority has a different quota. Informal is nothing like formal. This quota is based on the total sorority numbers, not pledge class numbers. Some sororitys need money more than others so their national office likes to keep their numbers high. KKG and KAT will never do informal because they don't need the money.

Also mid-tier often don't want too many new members in the fall because they can disrupt class-year unity and make it hard to arrange who is rooming in the house. Better to add a few - not a lot.

But still how would they know 1) the quota of each chapter and 2) how many girls exactly they have right now for EVERY sorority? I don't know either of those for my own sorority
