how much do legacies matter?

How influential is being a legacy during rush? Does it help? Can it hurt you?

Can't hurt you. Depends on chapter. I believe DG has to take like 40% of legacies who rush? At my chapter legacies automatically make it past first round and if they make it to prefs they're guaranteed a bid.

Make sure you're not picking a house just because you're a legacy because that isn't fair for you or for the chapter. You may be taking the spot of a girl that the sorority actually wants for another girl who isnt a legacy and they don't see you being a fit in said sorority. Legacy definitely helps if you LOVE the house and if the house LOVES you back but if thats not the case then it makes more sense for you to be in a place that is best for you, not in a place where you don't deserve the place you have.

they dont get you so far, so focus on sororitys you like an not just the legacy one
