Sigma Kappa - ΣΚ Sorority Ratings at UNR

I’m going to be completely honest and what I’m going to say goes for all of greek life and not just this sorority. I would strongly warn against joining a greek organization for the following reasons. First, it is very similar to cults. They have there own rituals and rules. They will treat you like trash if you try and leave. Second, they will try and control your life. There are so many mandatory events and meetings. If you aren’t able to go or simply don’t want to you have to have a valid excuse (work doesn’t count). If you don’t end up going then you will be fined. The third is you will end up paying this organization thousands of dollars to tell you what to do and how to live your life. There’s no doubt that some people have fun and form a lot of good connections, but it comes with a price. Just be very cautious if you are considering greek life and know that you are joining a cult of “sisters” who will you only treat you right if you live by there rules. If you love being brainwashed and having people tell you what to do, then greek life is perfect for you.

I’m tired of all the hate I see on this site. So I’m going to rate all the sororities perfect scores. Instead of bringing each other down, let’s build each other up and instead of worrying about each individual score and what rank it is. Let’s give perfect scores to all sororities and get a higher overall score!

Top house for sure. Best reputation. They have the nicest girls and most welcoming sisterhood.

rudest girls i've ever met and not that good looking either. they like to put their prettiest girls out front and hide the rest behind lol. if ur not pretty theyll ignore u in recruitment!

Ask anyone - Sigma Kappa puts on a great face for recruitment and then has trouble hanging onto girls once it's over because they realize what they got themselves into. I think there are some great women in the chapter (I was in it myself) but the majority are just rude, self-centered, and only care about the looks of the girls they take in (which is why I was pushed out). To me - DG or Tri Delta are the best, most genuine houses.

SK is just ok. They have an okay group of girls, but lots of girls drop after recruitment. Their house is small but it is cute. Not sure if they’re really involved in anyone elses philanthropy??? Might seem great but in reality theyre a lil artificial

Every girl that I’ve met who’s in sigma kappa has been so nice, I’m excited to rush in the fall

These girls can be sweet but most that I have met are very rude and only think about partying and boys. They are so concerned being top house but talk crap about every other sorority and it’s not very classy. Good girls but damn be njcer

Really trashy girls who have a lot of growing up to do, think they are all that but really no one kicks it with them. They would be a lower rank if all of their members didn’t self rank.
