so confused about pledging
by: pnmif i go through pledging and join a house but i end up dropping it, is it true that i cant join any other sorority? or is that just like a thing people say to scare you

if you get initiated, you can never re rush and join a different chapter. if you drop before initiation, you can't accept another bid/join another house until one full year after you accepted your previous bid (aka, you can't join a house in the spring via cob, you have to wait until next fall to re rush).
cob also isn't a great thing to fall back on, as most houses that cob do a very "if you know you know" kind of process and take very few girls, so i wouldn't recommend dropping rush with the intention of joining a house you got dropped from in the spring - it probably won't happen.

it’s very rare that a house that drops you will give you a bid at a later date. most houses will remember you or have records of why you were dropped. also, a lot of houses will give preference to freshman over sophomores because they are around for four years instead of three.
