rush if im considering transferring out of cu

by: pnm

Im committed to start at cu this fall and i really want to be in a sorority so i want to rush this fall. the thing is that im highly considering trying to transfer to an SEC school. Being realistic, I'd get COOKED at SEC recruitment so if i have a transfer into a sorority im solid. the thing is that the two schools id transfer to dont have all of the sororities that cu has and the sororities that have chapters at both schools have very different reputations. any advice appreciated. also, could someone mention when exactly sororities do initiation? that would help with my decision a lot.

But if you were to get into a sorority at CU and then transfer to another school, does that sorority automatically have to take you? I thought even at CU the sorority discusses your transfer application and they vote if they will accept you. I might be wrong, but I just wanted to put that out there that getting a bid here does not automatically mean that you’d be accepted at another school’s chapter, anyone else know the rules for this?

it's not like they automatically let you in, but it's very rare for them to reject you. im not 100% sure, but ik a girl that got a bid from tri delt here at boulder and then transferred to an sec school where tri delt is a top house and had no issues, so i assume they take almost all transfers unless there are clear reasons why they shouldn't
