Personally, I would not rely on the COB process at all. There are only nine houses, it’s incredibly competitive, you really have to have an ‘in’ with the house in order to COB and not all houses go through the COB process anyway.
When you actually go through rush, you might decide that DG and Chi O and not the places for you anyway, try to keep an open mind you may just love where you end up (which absolutely could be DG or Chi O). Good luck !

the houses that always do a real cob process with open events are theta, gphi, and tri delt (axo and kappa do cob sometimes but it's mostly for transfers or sophomores and it's very on the dl). chi o did cob this year but they didn't the year before, and it's a very iykyk process. they only took like 8 girls and they were all personally recommended by girls in chi o already, and i don't think dg has ever done cob. if you truly only want dg or chi o (which in my opinion you shouldn't go into rush thinking), you're better off giving it your best shot in the fall and retrying as a sophomore - but i also think ppl are a little dramatic about their gpa cutoffs. ik a girl from chi o's pc23 that had a 3.6 weighted in high school and ik a couple dgs that were definitely not the brightest in high school. yes they care about grades, but they care about whether or not you uphold their values more. good luck, and go Greek!!
