Wow look at all the blondes the top tiers recruited this year! Did you know they voted based off looking at Instagrams this year since it was remote?
Looking at you Kappa and Tri Delta. Don’t use the “but no one else who looks different goes through recruitment” excuse. Your job is to encourage diversity before recruitment begins to make other girls feel comfortable and yet again you guys failed and will try to prove you’re inclusive by saying you have your “token” women of color (who only make up 2% of your sorority)

I’m a woman of color in one of these sororities and I really wish people would stop saying stuff like this. UC is already a predominately white school, some WOC feel a lot more comfortable joining sororities in MGC or NPHC and that’s completely valid. It’s 100% a cultural thing and some WOC feel comfortable in Panhellenic and some don’t and that’s also a contributing factor into why some of us don’t join Panhel sororities. Panhel at a predominantly white school is going to be predominantly white and to call the few WOC who are in these sororities “token” minorities is damaging to them because they might not see themselves as “token” minorities in their respective organizations. Don’t speak on WOC experiences in these sororities unless you are one.
