greek life at miami

How big is greek life at miami? Does a girl have to join a sorority to have a social life? Do people in Greek only interact with themselves or are they not so cliquey? I'm really confused because I've heard from people that Greek isn't a big deal at miami but it seems like it's really taking over. Please share how joining Greek life has impacted your college experience.

I rushed as a sophomore and regret not doing it as a freshman. Greek life isnt everything and you can have a social life without it, but it does make it a lot easier (in my experience) to have fun and meet people

Greek life has had a really positive impact on my college experience. I have a lot of friends outside greek life, I live with a non-affiliated girl, but joining a sorority just makes it a lot easier to meet people and always have something fun to do! It's definitely grown a lot since I've been at Miami.
