Thoughts on Improving Greek Life

I know others have posted some ideas to improve greek life, so I thought I would share mine. I am a sophomore in a sorority and think we all should try to come together as a school rather than individual fraternities and sororities. So many people only rush to join the top frat or sorority and that mindset hurts all of the chapters at UM. We mixed with a few fraternities and my friends and I went to a bunch of different frat parties and they were all fun. By the time you get to be an upperclassman, tiers and status don't mean much anymore. Just rush where you find you fit with people the most, stop ranking every fraternity and sorority and let's all party together as a school. I saw the Beta post about hazing rumors. People, like wtf!! The LAST thing we need as a school is more chapters kicked off. Greek life is on its last legs as it is at UM, we need to support each other! Rant over! Go canes!
