Opinion on professional frats?

by:

I’m thinking of joining one I’m premed but I can’t figure out why we have two online so which one is the premed one? What’s it like? Is it like a regular frat/sorority and should I join?

There's two business frats, DSP and AKPsi, and a pre-med frat, PhiDE. They're all co-ed.

They have formals, along with some social events like pregames, tailgates, and halloween/christmas parties, but the events aren't as forally organized and school-approved since the frats' nationals are usually strict about that kinda stuff.

Professional frats are primarily for professional development and networking, and they're more of an on-campus club feel vs a frat/srat feel. Especially because of no hazing, etc. It's a good middle spot if you feel as if Greek Life is too much for you

So it’s more like a club, not really a social thing to make friends? Because that’s part of why I wanted to join

You said you wanted to join the premed and like the person above said ^only one is PhiDE. But you also said you wanted to make friends so basically, PhiDE is coed and I have friends in it. Some people in it are in actual greek life too and they’re normal and chill but they said the people who aren’t in greek life but are in PhiDE (boys and girls) are usually weird af. They mentioned one boy who acts like it’s his real frat because he’s not in greek life and is super touchy and weird to all the girls and always asks to hang. Just an FYI
