No greek life isn’t as formal or as big a deal here as it is at other schools. No rec letters needed

^ they are lying to you. You need at least two rec letters for your top choice srat. It also helps if one of them is from a former um alumnus.

My sorority literally doesn’t care haha, like if it’s from an alum that knows you it means something but it’s not like someone who doesn’t have one is any less likely to get a bid. I wondered the same thing cuz I transferred from a state school but here it really doesn’t matter and most sorority girls have never heard of them. We’d take someone we like without one over someone we like slightly less with one.. it could maybe help in a tiebreaker but definitely don’t worry about it

As a girl in one of the top sororities, you don't need rec letters. I didn't have them and I don't know anyone who had them unless it was a sister of an alum or something like that. Don't stress! You're gonna be fine
