Ignore my previous post^. Apparently SAE is recognized by UNCW, but they have chosen not to be a part of the IFC. I wonder if other frats will follow?

They literally aren’t even recognized by campus

Definitely not number two. Maybe back in the day they were but they are irrelevant/unheard of now. They don’t necessarily have a negative reputation but they aren’t on top whatsoever

Alpha Sig was on the rise in 2020-2021. Recently, their spring pledge class had only 1 kid. If they don’t step it up in the fall, they might fall off. Either way they still mix with top frats like SAE and PIKE every semester, so I’d say they’re mid-top tier

Lambda is bottom tier from a fraternity perspective. Some of the guys are cool, but all the ones I know told me they rushed because there is no pledging process. If you want the easy way out, Lambda is for you

Pike will give a bid to literally ANYONE. They try to say that having the most brothers out of all frats is an advantage, but it definitely isn’t. They have some cool guys, but they also have some super weird and creepy guys. I try to stay away from them unless they do a joint event.

Kap Sig has completely fallen off. A ton of their brothers dropped the fraternity due to changes to their pledge process. Pretty much the whole fraternity at this point is sophomores who have to live on campus, so they don’t even have houses. I don’t even think they’re gonna have parties this year…

SAE is the most selective frat at uncw. Not only are they selective with their new members, but they’re also selective with which frats they hold events with. They may not have as many members as say Pike, but getting a bid to SAE is difficult. They embody quality over quantity. I think this is what makes them the best at UNCW. And also their houses are bigger and better than almost all other frats at uncw.
