They're one of the top houses on campus with a reputation for beautiful, very Southern party girls from certain areas. It's fairly difficult to get in unless you know someone on the inside, a lot of legacies go through and KD has a particularly competitive recruitment. Personally, they're not my favorites, so my advice would of course be to smile, be yourself, and see where you personally fit best, and if it's KD congratulations, if not, then I'm glad you found your fit

Most KDs get in because of the networking they have with actives. One of the reasons they are known for being "Southern" girls is because PNMs are usually girls from their high schools in state or girls they knew prior to rush. They are extremely nice, but have a reputation for being suck up. They were very friendly to me during rush unlike some of the other "top" sororities and every KD I've met so far has been sweet. However, I can't speak for all of them and I know a lot a fraternity guys who won't have anything to do with KD because of their attitude. Most of my friends who are out of state girls end up in other sororities. I can give you my best opinion but, honestly, just wait until rush and don't get your heart set on one house because of something you read off of greekrank. They're all great sororities at Auburn, you won't have a problem finding your home.
