sophomore

I am transferring to Auburn in the fall and want to rush. Will being a sophomore hurt my chances of getting a bid?

There are a few sororities who can't take sophomores under national bylaws; however, you can still end up in a great sorority. AOP, SK, DZ, KKG, admidst others, took sophomores this year.

can take sophomores. There are no by laws that prevent ANY sorority from taking any year girl. Now, that particular group locally might not want to take an older girl, but that is up to that group at rush.

ZTA nationals will not allow us to accept sophomores, we saw some really sweet ones come through recruitment this year but were not allowed to bid them.

Its definitely harder for sophomores. Some sororities have policies stating that they cannot rush sophomores or can only take one- and legacies always have the upper hand. Theta is known for taking in the sophomores as long as they meet the GPA requirements among others.
