PNM RUSH GUIDE 2025

PNMs look no further. Here are your rankings and some general descriptions of each sorority for rush 2025! (Keep in mind that at the end of the day how you fit a sorority is WAY more important than their rank, which is why I'm including basic vibes of each sorority).
- they're somewhat in order within tiers, also I ran out of space so it got short and sweet towards the end!
Upper Top:
ADPI - southern(90% in state), most know they're going here before they rush, very much southern classy religious vibe.
AGD - take a decent amount OOS, still mostly southern, have miss america, very religious and very academic focused. VERY involved.
Lower Top:
PHI MU - Very much 'it girl' vibe, they love their perfectly curated instagrams. Mostly southern OOS girls. They teeter between upper top and lower because it really just depends on the year.
KD - Classy vibe, go for private school girls, have been historically top, but are losing traction bc they haven't been involved in the past few years. Known for being pretty academic and somewhat religious.
GPHI - the big OOS sorority, along with PI PHI. Have mix of all kinds of girls(some religious, a lot of partiers). Involvement and grades have been steadily improving the last 2 years, so separating from being lumped in with ZTA & PI PHI.
ZTA - Controversial to have ZTA above PI PHI, but ZTA tends to maintain a classier reputation. Takes in and OOS, and has a good national reputation which is often a draw for PNMs. Good alumni network and good mix of girls, though they have some transfers and COBs that go against that.
Upper Mid:
PI PHI - Known for being insta baddies, VERY pretty, and known for it, but not much else. Known to party, lots of OOS girls. Won some good Panhellenic awards, so that was helpful for involvement.
CHIO - very religious, mostly bama and ga girls. Have seriously struggled with social probation, so lots of girls don't want to pay to not be able to go to any events. Historically very involved though, basically run Panhellenic along with AGD.
AXO - southern classy, overachievers, amazing academic support(best test bank!), good alumni network and super involved. Great choice if you have a hard major
DDD - little bit of everything, lots of majors, lots of involvement. Very strict exec and national rules, leads to many dropping soph/junior year(no one wants to be in the chapter room at 4 am during rush). Did do very well during rush last year, and have great national rep.
Mid:
AOPI - The most southern of the mid sororities. Very academic, very involved, gives the most 'ring by spring' with upperclassmen getting engaged left and right. Pretty strict.
DG - Pretty chill, good low maintenance choice. Known for being well rounded and down to earth. Good national reputation, have an amazing exec and historically are very low drama compared to others.
DZ - Good academic support, super involved. Lots of stem/engineers.
SK - Very OOS, known to party.
Lower Mid:
AXID - bit of everything, very strict rules, fairly religious. Have a bit of personality clashes between older and younger pcs. Lots of OOS.
KKG - very chill, great choice if looking for a more low maintenance vibe. No fines, which can be a great draw.
THETA - Kind of low profile on campus, not very involved, seems like a low maintenance choice similar to Kappa.
Bottom:
SSS - newest on campus. Known for week of kindness, great way to get involved if you want to easily get into leadership and help a chapter grow.

agree with zta down but pi phi staying down. gphi has really separated itself from them the past 2 years, has gotten much more well rounded while also having really pretty and fun girls

Gphi get off this site. you know you are no where near lower top. its obvious you are trying to make the sororities that steal your PNMs look bad by saying "move x y and z down". its embarrassing.

actually no. Sk had no cobs where as pi phi had toooo many girls actually not enough. DDD has miss auburn… super high in academics, sisterhood and presentable, where as pi phi only cares about looks and posting selfies on insta.

I feel like good options for that would be gphi, tridelt, and maybe axid. you can find a good balance of fun and academic support in those.

take this description as a suggestion rather than a perfect fit! some chapters are more academic but might be accompanied with more conservative values while some chapters are more party oriented and relaxed. dont be fooled by some of the more “party” sororities! most girls party their freshman year regardless and it tones done by the end of freshman year! as someone with the similar goals and values as you, i found comfort in a oos chapter that was a little bit more party oriented, but i found a group of girls that saw me for who i am! i think maybe axid, dz, or kappa? ik a bunch of bi girls in those chapters

If you’re bi you better hide it because sororities don’t go for that. And the comment about “I know bi girls in these sororities” is such bs because they’re just trying to drag them down. Girls are not typically bi at Auburn it’s a very southern vibe. The ranking list is 100% accurate btw I agree with everything

yea, take a look at the new grade report. GPhi freshmen with a top 5 gpa, along with others ranked over the usual top. Time to recognize the landscape is changing as Auburn brings in more and more oos students. PNM’s are looking for more than high school 2.0 and local girls who grew up together. ZTA, GPhi, TriDelt on the rise with stronger academic showing, involvement and awards. It’s the old school “top”, especially those that are struggling with reputation, sopro etc (hi ChiO, KD!) that flood greek rank trying to push a dated agenda. What makes a house “top” at Auburn to a PNM is becoming very different than what it has historically been.

I disagree just because I feel Piphi holds too much of a northern reputation and dabbles a little too much in the "snow" (iykyk) to be considered higher up for Auburn greek life.

if anything switch ZTA and Gphi. Looking at the most recent grade report Gphi's grades are slipping compared to other sororities and compared to the previous semester.

If you want to look at the grade report, check the freshman class. Clearly indicative that times are changing. As oos stats for acceptance become much more competitive and that trend continues, the historically oos chapters are going to be on the rise academically

i honestly agree. people say they shouldn't matter and they shouldnt but they do at least freshman year. you have to be associated with them so you should at least know what you're getting into

zta down yea but not pi phi up. zta really struggled last year during rush so i doubt that pc will be able to rush well. pi phi's rep is not anywhere close to good enough to move up
