How many recs is suggested for girls to get before rush?

Get as many as you can, but in reality it is up to the sororities to get a rec. If they are really interested in you, they will find one!

At least one per sorority and probably two to three. Try to get Auburn Alum, but if that is not possible get any alum of that sorority. Not having a rec on file is an easy way for sororities to make a cut when there are over 1,0000 girls coming through their doors.

Just get what you can, but it is also true that if a sorority wants a girl, they will introduce an alum to them and they can write a rec. (I knew no one and that happened for me! I was told this later after I pledged.)
