Planning visit for high school senior (dad here)

by: CalAlum

My son is a high school senior in New England and was accepted at Auburn and Univ of Alabama which are his top 2 choices. We looked at both campuses a year ago but didn't get a feel for student life at either.

He knows a kid from our town who is in a frat at Bama but has no connections to Greek life at Auburn.

We are planning to come down in late January so he can decide on a school but not sure how to get him a look at what Greek life is like on the Auburn campus vs at Bama.

Appreciate any guidance for a clueless dad who went to a school out west and never pledged.

Thanks!

So he can get more of a look into fraternity life if he reaches out to fraternity officers in the spring and do visits then. They will host unofficial and official parties for potential new members starting in the spring and all summer. He doesn’t need to know anyone, but it helps. If he doesn’t know anyone have him reach out to the pledge trainers from the fraternities and they can tell him when they are hosting an event. Good luck
