You are going to feel terrible on game days when you see all the fun your would-be sisters and new member class are having together and at tailgates everywhere. Your social life is going to be great in any sorority! Don't be left out! Stay, and don't make an emotional decision when you are tired and vulnerable.

The real truth is: NO sorority is looked “down on” once you join greek life, and you will realize that very fast. Yes there’s some competition around recruitment time, but when it really comes down to it, the only people who look down on sororities are those that are threatened, jealous, mean, or not even in Greek life at auburn.

Truly “tiers” and “rankings” aren’t a thing at auburn. Nobody cares if you’re “top” or if you’re “bottom”. Don’t drop. Give it a month and if you don’t make friends or aren’t happy then drop. But you have to give it a fair shot. You get what you put into your sorority so make an effort to go to every event possible and reach out to other girls to get lunch or coffee or something.

The people that are "looking down" on any sororities aren't people you should be concerned with. They are mean-spirited and insecure and only make themselves feel better by tearing others down.

At the least don’t drop yet! Finish sisterhood and go to pref. You may change your mind and if you don’t you can always drop before signing your mraba card. If you are sure you do not want to join do not sign on Pref because then you are stuck. And don’t count on a COB from a house that dropped you because those houses will make quota and won’t be able to offer bids. Actually we very house at Auburn made quota last year.

I’m going to go to my last party tomorrow and then decide. So I would go and give them a chance. But I’m pretty sure I will end up dropping. Because I don’t want to accept a bid from a sorority that I’m not sure about then my favorite sorority cob(ing). Even if I don’t get a bid from them during cob. I would just be upset if I accepted a bid then seeing my favorite sorority cob(ing) and not knowing if I could’ve had a chance. And I don’t want to take away a potential bid from another girl that really wanted it.

Just a word of caution: you REALLY can’t count on COB. It’s very informal and often hard to know if someone is even doing it and there’s often very few spots that go to people that already have an “in.”
With as many members as each sorority has, you really can find your people in any of them as long as you’re open minded.

I know girls in all three of those sororities. They are beautiful, fun, involved, kind, and have great sisterhoods. You should give them a chance and you might be surprised. Every sorority at Auburn offers friendships with amazing women and opportunities to get involved on campus.
