Am I the only one?
by: .:.I only got 3 sororities back and it seems like everyone else in my group got a full set of parties for this round. My pi chi says not to worry but I’m freaking out.

I know it’s hard to stay positive but don’t drop. Give the sororities that invited you back another look. They saw something in you and asked you back for a reason. Every single sorority at Auburn has really great girls and opinions change from party to party so it’s important to go to all you’re invited to before you make your decision. Best of luck!

I was in the position of one sorority giving me a bid for preference night and it was disappointing but I went through with it. I received a bid on bid day and wouldn’t want it to have been any other way. It was a great time with terrific girls. You never know how it will work.

It's hard not to take it personally. I would say you do not have to take a bid from someone you don't want. That's a fallacy. You can always get a COB or rush again next year. There are tons of girls not in a sorority as a freshmen. The "top sororities" keep this site full of their comments to keep everyone coming back to them - keep an open mind and don't buy into the ranking. Lots of upward movement - but DO NOT commit to a place you really cannot see yourself because then you are stuck!

If it makes you feel any better, when I went through 2 years ago my favorite (one of the “top”) dropped me going into pref. I stuck it out and ended up joining the one I’m in now (which is considered “lower” and wasn’t even on my radar) and I truly think it’s the best fit for me. I have thought several times about what it would be like if I was in that one and I don’t think I’d fit it. I love the girls around me and the opportunity I’ve gotten here. It’ll all work out for the best, so try to give your remaining ones a shot! You’re probably a great girl and someone sees that!!
