Top tiers dirty rush
by: HonestyI am oos and plan to rush.I have heard that the sororities who consider themselves top tier dirty rush.Like if you don’t have a friend in the sorority or have a big IG following they will cut you before meeting you.

From my experience sororities who do this are like adpi, agd, aopi, axo, chi o, kd, phi mu, zeta because they really do the most research on you before you walk in the door.
These ones have higher return rates I think so they can’t have a bunch of people back.
I’m not in a sorority that does this but it happened to me and my friends in rush although I wouldn’t really call it dirty rush.

Having a preplanned bid list absolutely does not mean they are “dirty rushing”. What that means is they have girls they know through sisters, legacies, etc that they want and have on their “wish list”. That doesn’t mean they will get them but most sororities have a “list” going into rush…at least the more popular ones.

I’m from OOS and yes some of the top sororities dirty rush. I’m not saying if you’re OOS you have no chance of getting a bid in a certain sorority, it’s just that a lot of girls in state or with connections definitely get bids easier than girls without connections. At the end of the day, you want to be in a sorority with girls that want you there and where you feel comfortable. College is great, but after you graduate no one is going to gaf about whether u were in a top tier sorority or not

That’s what I heard.I only know one person at auburn and she rushed last year.Really great girl,pretty,good resume,great grades and she was cut from the top ones first round.I can’t think of any reason she was cut was she wasn’t prepicked

Dirty rushing isn’t encouraged or supported by any sorority because it gets you in a lot of trouble. However, girls get around it anyway or will speak to girls through other people so they’re not technically “talking” to them directly. They won’t cut you before they meet you, no one gets cut (unless photo or video evidence of you doing something awful is sent to the sorority) before the first round. Before rush, a board will review your resume and social media to look for bad grades, no involvement, underage drinking or illegal activities, extra piercings, green hair, etc. and give you a baseline score. This baseline score, if good, will give you a bit of a boost but it’s not a deal breaker unless the board tells one of the girls to cut you first round. A great first impression is vital, and knowing someone absolutely helps but is not necessary if you are out of state.

Pretty much all who you know coming from an OSS. I was salutatorian, 4.7 weighted gpa, 4.0 gpa, 34 ACT and was dropped from all of the ones people have been listing above.

I know that axo and aopi don't dirty rush for sure. Also dirty rushing is when they have a pre-picked bid list, not when they look you up beforehand. Hope that helps!
